"Blessed is the people that knoweth jubilation. They shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance:
And in thy name they shall rejoice all the day, and in thy justice they shall be exalted.
For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy good pleasure shall our horn be exalted.
For our protection is of the Lord, and of our king the holy one of Israel. "
Psalm 89.16-17,18-19

And the same verses form different translation (for better understanding):

“Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.
In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king. “

Well of blessing.

This small piece of scripture alone is like a well of blessing (much more entire Bible).
So, who are those blessed people? Those who know, how to walk in joy and to be thankful to the Lord. You see, problems should not stop you from being joyful and thankful. The Lord is good and loves us. When you understand that, you will walk in everlasting joy and thanksgiving, no matter what.

There are promises for those who live that way:

You shall walk in a light of His countenance.
The Lord and his light will be with you, wherever you go. His light will make your path easier to walk. You will see traps of life and avoid them. No darkness around you, can dim His light. No matter how heavy the darkness, you will have light!

There will be no sadness in your life, just joy.
All day long and every day. Because the Lord and his name are the source of your joy, nothing and nobody can take it away from you. Ever!

In thy justice they shall be exalted.
God loves you. He is just, and He knows your heart, and all the good you do. He will exalt you. He will do that in the face of your enemies. His favour is with you.

For thou art the glory of their strength.
No weaknesses can overtake you. Your strength comes straight from the Lord. He is an inexhaustible source of strength.

For our protection is of the Lord.
If the Lord is your protection (shield), there is no danger, dangerous enough to get through.
