“For all you are the children of light and children of the day: we are not of the night nor of darkness.
Therefore, let us not sleep, as others do: but let us watch, and be sober.
For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that are drunk, are drunk in the night.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, having on the breast plate of faith and charity and, for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
For God hath not appointed us unto wrath: but unto the purchasing of salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
Who died for us: that, whether we watch or sleep, we may live together with him.
For which cause comfort one another and edify one another, as you also do.”
1Th 5.5-11
We are Sons and Daughters of light.
Once we have submitted ourselves to God, we have become his sons and daughters. Sons and daughters of the Light. Therefore, we should act as such. The nature of the light is an opposite of the darkness. When you have a light, you can easily see what is around. We can see the danger, and we can see where to go. Because He, the Light is with us always, we do not have to be in a darkness as others (in a literal and figurative sense). The darkness covers the earth. It covers politics, economy and regular life matters.
Although it does not apply to you and me, because we are children of the light. We are covered with a breast plate of faith and charity, and we wear the helmet of the salvation!
Why the entire world is shaking? Because God is sending his wrath. Nevertheless, it does not apply to us – God did not appoint us unto wrath but for salvation! Whatever happens around you, trust God (his salvation through Jesus Christ) and call upon his name (JESUS!) when in imminent danger! He will not forsake you!
